Events Head Waiter

The Banquet Headwaiter supervises Banqueting operations, during weddings, gala dinners, corporate parties and conferences.

Key responsibilities include:
  • The Banquet head waiter will also be required to delegate tasks in line with function sheets and assist with meeting departmental service & financial targets. Specifically, will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
  • Effective communication with staff, Heads of Department, and senior management to ensure the smooth running of daily operations, including daily team briefings.
  • Guest complaints must be handled effectively and professionally to ensure the guests` positive experience in return.
  • Liaising with the events team to organize weddings and functions.
  • Overseeing a team of waiters, ensuring that standards are met at top levels.
  • Ensuring staff compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations in line with Company policies and procedures
  • Flexibility to work in other departments and take on a Duty Manager role.
  • Ensure that all HACCP, health, and food safety standards are followed in all locations where JC Events handles food.

Available Roles
Barman / Waiter

Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Arrive at the scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work.
  • To abide by grooming policies and uniform must be clean
  • Keeps workstation always clean.
  • Ability to set up Banquet Function Bar set-ups.
  • Collect all necessary equipment, beverages, etc. to set up the designated area.
  • Ensure that all silverware and glassware are polished, clean, and shining before guests arrive.
  • Provide beverage service to guests professionally and courteously consistent with established standards and levels of excellence Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
  • Work as part of a team with the serving and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for guests.
